Where Are You Going?

What a great question!! If talking to someone about to start out on a road trip in British Columbia you could expect hundreds of different answers to that same question. There are so many options and so many directions to go. In the same amount of time you could be in the mountains, by the sea, in a desert or driving past fields of grain. Of course it depends on the season and what you are looking for but the possibilities are endless.

In this song we wanted to showcase some of the favorite routes, destinations and activities as well as touch on a little history and local color while capturing the enthusiasm of a road trip.

Where Are You Going?

Written by: Laurie Thain and Gord Maxwell

Where are you going?

Where are you going?

We’re going up the Sea to Sky

There’s powder in Whistler today.

Gonna stop for breakfast in Brackendale

And see the eagles on our way

Can’t wait! It’s gonna be great!

Snow tires on, we’re gone.

Where are you going?

Where are you going?

We’re going up the Goldrush Trail.

Gonna take a big, long drive.

North through the canyon and the Cariboo

We’ll be in Barkerville by five.

Can’t wait! It’s gonna be great!

Camper’s on, we’re gone.

BRIDGE:

So much to do so much to see

Endless possibilities

In your own back yard!!

Where are you going?

Where are you going?

We’re going on the circle tour.

Starting at Horseshoe Bay

Up the Sunshine Coast, cross Georgia Strait

And down the old Island Highway

Can’t wait! It’s gonna be great!

Radio on, we’re gone.

Where are you going?

Where are you going? . . . fade
